Urethane sheet (also called polyurethane sheet, PU sheet, or urethane flat sheet) is a high performance polymer material manufactured by casting liquid urethane into flat sheet molds. It is widely used across industrial and manufacturing applications where conventional rubber, plastic, or metal materials fall short. Compared to standard rubber sheeting, cast urethane sheet delivers superior abrasion resistance, higher tear strength, better load bearing capacity, and a significantly longer service life, making it the go-to material for high wear, high impact, and chemically demanding environments.

Open-cast polyurethane sheeting is the most cost-effective and versatile format of urethane flat sheet available. Liquid urethane is poured into open, adjustable molds, allowing virtually unlimited combinations of size, hardness, color, and chemistry.

Standard open cast urethane sheets can be produced in any custom dimension without tooling charges. Uniflex’s adjustable sheet molds can be configured to your exact required length, width, and thickness — eliminating waste from oversized blanks and saving you money on material and labor.

Any combination of color, durometer, and formulation is available in custom sizes.

Size Capabilities: Up to 50″ wide and 138″ long, any dimension in between is accepted for production.

Tolerances for Standard Urethane Sheet:

Thickness: +/- 0.030” for 1/8” to 1/2”  +/- 0.045” for 5/8” to 1”+

When standard open cast tolerances are insufficient, Uniflex offers precision cast urethane sheet, manufactured using a controlled casting process that delivers significantly tighter dimensional accuracy. This is the preferred option for OEM replacement parts, precision gaskets, and close-tolerance die-cutting materials.

Precision Cast Thickness Tolerance: ± 0.007″

Precision urethane sheets are available in the same size range, durometer options, colors, and formulations as our open cast line. Because they are cast to near-final dimensions, precision sheets eliminate the need for secondary skiving or grinding operations — making them a cost-effective alternative to machined OEM parts.
