Molded Grating

Molded Grating

Molded fiberglass grating is the staple product when it comes fiberglass grating systems and is the most cost-effective solution to those interested in fiberglass grating. Many standard sizes and mesh patterns are available, including standard square mesh, rectangular mesh, and mini-mesh.

Molded fiberglass grating is used both commercially and residentially for many applications. Standard panels are 4′ x 12′ and have thicknesses from 1/2″ to 2″ with 1.5″ being the most common. The mostly commonly stocked colors are yellow, green, grey, and light grey. FRP grating panels come in either gritted or concave gripping surface. Barefoot friendly gripping surfaces and mesh patterns are available for applications where barefoot traffic is common.

Uses

Molded FRP grating can be used in place of steel for scaffolding, walkways, stair systems, ramps and more. Molded grating can also be used for pool side applications as well as in place of wood for dock sections where barefoot traffic is common. Common residential applications include decks, platforms, and floors in sheds and similar structures. Fiberglass grating can also be used in place of stairs to enhance gripping and eliminate the possibility of slippery liquids and/or ice from building up on the surface.

The FRP Advantage

Fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) grating and structural components are manufactured from composite materials with a systematic fiberglass and resin combination, creating a product that is far more superior than traditional materials such as steel and aluminum.  With a significantly higher strength-to-weight ratio than steel, 20% the weight, and a drastically lower price, fiberglass reinforced products outperform traditional materials on almost every basis.
