Uniflex urethane pads and bumpers are perfect for preventing damage to stored sheet metal, metal coils, and various other stock items. Urethane pads are also used in assembly processes to prevent damage to products in production as well as protect machinery and mitigate vibration and noise.

Made out of durable, resilient, and chemical resistant polyurethane, Uniflex storage pads and cushions effectively protect products from mutilation while remaining very economical. Both storage pads and cushions are completely customizable, allowing you to have a product that is tailored exactly to your specifications.

Urethane Pads for Use with Unistrut Channels

Uniflex produces a custom urethane pad (see images of orange parts below) that is designed to perfectly slide into Unistrut channels. These pads are sold in 24″ sections and can easily be used in conjunction with all sizes of Unistrut. We offer many standard and custom variations in any color and durometer.  Custom cut lengths with or without bolt patterns are also available. The Process

Uniflex is able to take your concept and turn it into a fully functional production item. We start with your drawing file and then determine the best course of action to take for the most economical production strategy. Generally, customers send their drawing files over and within days they have a fully functional mold that is sent over to the production department for urethane casting.

Custom Bolt Pattern Configurations

Many buyers have specific bolt patterns with or without counterbores that need to be adhered to with precision in order to ensure that the finished urethane pad is able to properly align with its end use location. What many people don’t understand is that urethane is molded at around 250°F, so when it cools after production, it shrinks. Although it does have an average shrink that is predictable, it can vary from ratio to ratio due to fluctuations in environmental temperature, humidity, and prepolymer diisocyanate percentage . When choosing a supplier, ask them about this to be sure that they will be able to produce your part with precision and have minimal to no revisions. The more revisions to a tool, the more money that is spent.

We have years of experience working with these types of polyurethane pad applications. Uniflex has collected data for decades using our various formulations and we have tuned our numbers to perform without revision in almost all cases. Occasionally we may have to adjust slightly after inspection using precision measurement equipment, but it is exceedingly rare.
