3″ x 3″ Square Urethane bar is an excellent replacement polyurethane material for traditional materials such as UHMW, HDPE, Delrin, Nylon, and rubber. Urethane provides a unique set of physical properties that include abrasion resistance, elastic memory (won’t deform like hard plastics), chemical resistance, and impact resistance. It generally has a very good tear strength and rebound as well. This allows urethane to withstand repeated impact without deforming or cracking.

EASILY MACHINABLE

In general, urethanes have developed a reputation for being hard to machine. This most often is due to formulation and durometer. As a general rule of thumb, softer durometer urethanes are harder to machine than harder durometer urethanes. However, formulation also plays a significant role machinability and is often neglected.
